Google Pixel 8 “Made by Google” event will be held on October 4
According to rumors, Google announced its next major event in response to Apple’s announcement. When we look at the shared invitation, we can see that the company invites people to an in-person Made by Google event. At the event, Google is expected to introduce the latest additions to the Pixel portfolio of devices, including Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2.
Now, the tech giant has revealed that it will announce its upcoming launch event in New York City, compared to Apple’s event, which is in Cupertino, California, and both events will start at 10 AM. Although the company doesn’t give any details about the expected Watch 2, the rumors show that we can expect Google to unveil its next-generation Watch.
A few days ago, Google leaked the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro smartphone on its online store. According to earlier reports, the expected smartphone will have a temperature sensor, a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, the Tensor G3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and more.
On the other side, the Pixel 8 will have the same chipset, and it will run Android 14 out of the box. Also, it will feature an 11-megapixel selfie camera, a 6.17-inch with a 120Hz refresh rate, a dual rear camera system, and a 4,485mAh battery with 24W wired and 12W wireless charging support.
