We are just one day away from the launch event, Made by Google, of the upcoming Pixel 8 series, including Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro. While there are no official details about the specifications of the expected devices, the leaks reveal a lot of details about the phones. Now, the Google Pixel 8 Pro specs are spotted on Geekbench 6 listing. Here are the details about the specs of the Pixel 8 Pro…
Google Pixel 8 Pro will be powered by Google Tensor G3 SoC
Although the company doesn’t reveal the official specs, the latest leaks show that the upcoming smartphones will be powered by Tensor G3 chipset. According to the Geekbench 6 listing, the Pixel 8 Pro’s chipset will have a new 1+4+4 setup, compared to 2+2+4 in the Tensor G2.
The Tensor G3 is claimed to feature 1x Cortex-X3 prime core clocked at 2.91GHz, 4x Cortex-A715 performance cores clocked at 2.37GHz, 4x Cortex-A510 power efficient cores clocked at 1.7GHz.
When we look at the listing, we can see that the earlier rumors didn’t reflect the truth because the clock speed revealed in the benchmarks is less than the leaks. It is expected to have a Mali-G715 (Immortalis) 10-Core GPU that supports hardware-based ray tracing.
According to the Geekbench results, the device gets a single-core score of 1760 and a multi-core score of 4442, which will be an improvement compared to the Tensor G2. Additionally, the Google Pixel 8 Pro will have a 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but it should have a 256GB for the global market and a 512GB variant for the US market.
