Google is preparing to come up with innovations in its mid-segment phones. According to leaked information, the Google Pixel 9a will be larger than expected and will come with some design changes. If you like the compact dimensions of the Pixel 8a, the Pixel 9a might surprise you a bit because this new model will be bigger and wider.
Google Pixel 9a will be a larger mid-segment device
According to the leaks, the Pixel 9a will measure exactly 154.7 x 73.2 x 8.9 mm. That’s 2.6 mm taller and 0.5 mm wider than the Pixel 8a. However, there’s not a big difference between the two models in terms of thickness; the Pixel 9a will also be 8.9 mm thick. So the phone will still be comfortable in the hand, but the screen will be slightly larger.
One of the most interesting changes is the camera design. The Pixel 9a won’t have a prominent camera bump like previous models. The design, which will offer an almost completely flat back surface, will have a more minimal look. However, the lack of a camera bump has led to an increase in the overall dimensions of the device.
Pixel 9a is expected to be released in March 2025. That’s a year ahead of the Pixel 8a’s release. So we won’t have to wait too long to see this new model. Google’s new phone in the mid-segment could be very attractive, especially for users looking for a large screen and minimal design.
