Continuing its efforts in the foldable phone market, Google is soon set to unveil the Pixel Fold 2 model. Renowned for leaking information in the industry, Ross Young has unveiled the key features of the upcoming product. According to him, the foldable phone will feature an 8.02-inch primary display and a 6.29-inch cover display. This invalidates recent rumors about a 6.4-inch external screen related to the smartphone.
In terms of specifications, the Pixel Fold 2 will utilize Google’s in-house Tensor G4 processor. While there aren’t any official details about this chip yet, the Geekbench database provides important insights. The new processor will host 4 efficiency cores clocked at 1.95 GHz and 4 performance cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, along with the Mali G715 graphics unit.
The Geekbench score for the processor is 1,082 for single-core and 3,121 for multi-core performance. Additionally, according to the source, the production of the device’s screen will commence in April, with a market release expected in September or October.
