The design of Google’s new smartwatch Pixel Watch 4 has been revealed. The published render video showed that the watch will come with some important changes, although it resembles previous models. The device, which maintains its round and curved form, is seen to be thicker than the previous model. The increase in thickness has led to evaluations that a larger battery will be used.

The new model is planned to be released in two different sizes, 41 mm and 45 mm, as in the previous generation. Another striking detail in the design is the complete removal of the charging pins.
Four charging pins were added with the Pixel Watch 2, but this design drew some users’ reaction. The absence of these pins in the new model brought to the agenda the possibility that Google has developed a different charging technology.
One of the most criticized aspects of the Pixel Watch series was the low battery performance offered in previous generations. Google made various improvements in this regard in the Pixel Watch 2 and 3 models, offering solutions that are more suitable for users’ daily use expectations.
The Pixel Watch 4’s increased thickness and reworked charging system could herald a significant improvement in battery life. On the hardware side, it is rumored that the device will come with a new chipset.
Google had taken steps to improve energy efficiency and overall performance with WearOS 4 and 5 versions. The new model is expected to build on these steps in terms of software and hardware.
We hope to share more information about the device at the Google I/O event to be held in May. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
