Google’s first smartwatch Pixel Watch
The tech giant launched the new Watch with WearOS. The operating system was developed in partnership between Google and Samsung. The watch has features like heart rate tracking, detailed sleep tracking, ECG, and crash detection. According to the announcements, the device will also have a Fall Detection feature sometime in 2023.
The Watch comes with an Always on the Display feature, it has also 1000nit brightness. Additionally, Google used a 1.6-inch AMOLED 320PPI display on the new Pixel Watch. On the screen protection, the tech giant used Corning’s 3D Gorilla Glass 5. The device can also stand up to 50-meter of water resistance.
Google launches the watch in three main colors, Black, Gold, and Silver. There are also a few watch bands available on Google. The company says it is inspired by a water droplet. It has a continuous design. Pixel Watch comes with a 294mAh battery that runs for up to 24 hours. The watch gets its power from Samsung’s Exynos 9110 SoC chipset. Additionally, it has 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage.
The Pixel Watch will be available with any Android phone that runs on Android 8.0 or later. You can use the watch with your phone, but it is unclear if the company gives some special features for Pixel phones.
