Google has made a significant development for the machine learning community with the introduction of Vertex AI, which encompasses more than 60 artificial intelligence models. According to the company’s announcement, Vertex AI’s productive AI support has been made available for general use, enabling everyone from large companies to individual users to try out Google’s models.
What is Google Vertex AI?
The platform called Vertex AI leverages language learning models such as PaLM 2, Imagen, and Codey. This productive AI platform can be used as a chatbot, similar to ChatGPT. Additionally, companies can integrate productive AI capabilities into their own services.
The announcement made at a Google Cloud event is significant for the broader adoption of artificial intelligence among a larger audience and in various domains. Now, many businesses can utilize Google’s language models to create their own AI applications.
According to Google’s statement, Vertex AI offers more than 60 AI models as part of the Model Garden. This tool, referred to as Generative AI Studio, can be adapted to different systems. Important AI tools included in this feature set encompass translation, photo/video generation, code completion, and chatbot creation.
One of the major platforms that uses Google’s language model is Canva. The company, known for its ready-made templates, has integrated Vertex AI’s translation service into its system to better serve non-English speaking users. Canva also aims to make short videos more extended and creative using the PaLM model.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into various aspects of life, competition in the industry becomes inevitable. With Vertex AI, Google aims to encourage more companies to utilize their language models for their own use cases.
