Govee may be preparing to launch a new smart floor lamp, and this time, it’s targeting affordability without skipping the smart home essentials. The Floor Lamp 3 Lite has now been officially certified by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) for Matter 1.3, clearing a key step before release.
Govee Floor Lamp 3 Lite is Matter-ready from day one
Matter certification means the Floor Lamp 3 Lite will work with a broad range of smart ecosystems, including Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. This gives it a plug-and-play advantage right out of the box, making setup and control far simpler for smart home users.
The lamp will support both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, ensuring that it remains responsive whether you’re home or away. Control will happen through the Govee Home app, where users can tweak colors, effects, and brightness levels with just a few taps.

Floor Lamp 3 Lite could undercut Govee’s pricier models
As its name suggests, the Floor Lamp 3 Lite will likely come in at a lower price than Govee’s flagship models. That includes the currently unpriced Floor Lamp 3 and the $74.99 Floor Lamp Basic, which it may eventually replace.
Right now, Govee hasn’t confirmed specs, but we can expect the basics:

With CES 2026 kicking off on January 6th, Govee could use the event to pull the curtain back on the Floor Lamp 3 Lite. The timing lines up well with the certification, and CES has long been a stage for smart home debuts.
While the exact release date and pricing remain unknown, the “Lite” branding suggests the lamp is built for those who want ambient lighting without the premium cost. That could make it a strong pick for dorm rooms, apartments, or secondary spaces like offices and bedrooms.
