An Apple Store-like house, “Project 42,” and allegations of Elon Musk stealing money
The eccentric billionaire continues to make headlines almost every day with completely different news. After the Threads and Twitter incidents, Musk is now in the spotlight for defrauding his own company. Statements related to the matter suggest that Elon Musk has been using Tesla’s resources for his luxury expenses.
The Tesla management initiated an investigation into the matter and became suspicious of Elon Musk through the lands he acquired near the Gigafactory in the Austin area and his planned housing project there. Several lands have been purchased in the vicinity by Musk and members of the management. It has been reported that Elon Musk intends to build a fully glass hexagonal house in the mentioned area and would obtain the special glass for the house from Tesla’s budget.
The human resources and management departments have initiated the necessary investigations into Elon Musk, but due to recent changes and restructuring within the company’s internal departments, the investigation has not been completed. It is claimed that the new team is continuing the investigation; however, there is no definitive information available at the moment.
This situation is not the first of its kind among global brands. Similar incidents have occurred at Meta, which has close ties (!) with Elon Musk. Sheryl Sandberg, formerly held the COO position at Meta, was investigated for allegedly using company resources for personal purposes, such as wedding planning or attempting to undermine a news story critical of her former partner Bobby Kotick. Such situations do not paint a positive image for any company, especially when the person under investigation is the CEO.
