Tesla has taken a step toward reshaping the in-car user experience. The company has launched its artificial intelligence-powered system, dubbed Grok, through its mobile app. The new system is activated in vehicles as an infotainment-based assistant. A monthly premium membership of 150 TL is required to use Grok.
Grok technology arrives in Tesla vehicles
Tesla’s mobile app has been updated to version 4.46.6. This version also activates notification-based links that provide access to Grok. Initially, the system functions only in the infotainment area. Thanks to this natural language processing-based feature, users can talk to the system, access content with voice commands, and take advantage of options such as a special mode for children.

Grok cannot currently interfere with driving controls. However, Tesla’s long-term plans include integrating the system with vehicle control functions. The AI system, planned to be available globally with multilingual support, also offers personalization options such as voice selection.
Tesla’s move is considered the beginning of a new era in in-car AI interaction. With Grok being integrated directly into the driving experience in the future, competition in AI-powered automotive systems is expected to intensify.
Tesla’s implementation of the Grok system reflects the company’s commitment to software-based developments. At a time when software, rather than hardware, has become the driving force in the automotive industry, such steps that make in-car interactions more personalized and intelligent demonstrate that user expectations are also evolving in this direction.
