What would you do if we told you that Rockstar Games’ masterpiece GTA 5 could have been a much different game today, but Rockstar prevented it? Because a canceled DLC for GTA 5 has been revealed. And for the game’s most beloved character.
GTA 5’s canceled Trevor DLC
Rockstar was considering adding a Trevor-focused DLC to the game, but later abandoned that plan. Steven Ogg, the actor who portrays Trevor, one of the characters in GTA 5, revealed that a DLC focusing on Trevor and expanding his story was considered, but was shelved after GTA Online unexpectedly exploded.
In a recent interview, the cast of GTA 5 came together to talk about their experiences with the game and share details about the game. In this interview, it was stated that there were many details behind the scenes, as well as many video footage that was never released.
The three players revealed that a DLC starring Trevor was never released and that Trevor was supposed to be an agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FIB), but the idea was canceled by Rockstar. Speaking about this, gamers said that a story was actually being filmed where Trevor would work undercover and work for the feds, but that content was never released.
It was stated that the main reason behind Rockstar canceling this DLC idea was the unexpectedly huge popularity of GTA Online. As you already know, both the missions of being a secret agent for the IAA and infiltrating the FIB are included in GTA Online.
Therefore, it was preferable for the company to focus its resources and attention on the development of GTA Online and constantly offer new content to players.
As a result, this canceled Trevor-focused DLC for GTA 5 is quite annoying. Because of the company’s love for money, we’re left with cheap GTA Online missions when we could have had two separate storylines like in GTA 4.
