While many of the rumors circulating about GTA 6 are clearly based on speculation, this time the claim seems quite serious. According to the claim, the eagerly anticipated release date of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) has been hinted at by the CEO of Take-Two. So, what’s the story?
The owner of Rockstar Games, Take-Two, might have accidentally leaked the release date of GTA 6!
The recent earnings report from Take-Two doesn’t directly mention GTA 6. However, it does state that the active development process of the game is progressing efficiently.
According to Take-Two’s projections, it’s an undeniable fact that GTA 6 will not be released within the 2024 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2024.
However, CEO Strauss Zelnick dropped a hint that the company will have something significant in the 2025 fiscal year: “The 2025 fiscal year will be a significant milestone that we believe will include record levels of operating performance.”
It’s highly likely that this milestone refers to the release of GTA 6, which is currently one of the most anticipated games in the production stage.
The 2025 fiscal year will begin in April 2024 and end in March 2025. Therefore, if this claim is true, it’s certain that we won’t get to see the game until the first quarter of 2024. But the good news is that we won’t have to wait until the end of 2025 for GTA 6.
Looking at the release dates of the main games in the GTA series so far, almost all of them were released in October, one in September, and one in April.
If the CEO’s statement is indeed an implication, it’s possible to say that the expected release date of GTA 6 by Take-Two is October 2025. What are your thoughts? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments.
