Huawei has expanded the HarmonyOS 4 public beta program to include new smartphone and smartwatch models. In this context, the HarmonyOS experience has expanded to 37 more models, including more than 30 smartphones.
Smartphones that will receive Huawei Harmony 4
The new devices that will join the HarmonyOS 4 beta include popular flagships such as Huawei P30, Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, nova 5 Pro. Some Honor models such as Honor 20 and Honor Magic 2 are also included in this update program.
Huawei smartwatch owners can now join the beta directly from the Huawei Sports Health app or from the settings menu on their devices.

Speaking at the Huawei Pocket 2 event, CEO Richard Yu shared some details about a major update called HarmonyOS NEXT. Scheduled for release this fall, HarmonyOS NEXT aims to improve the user experience by focusing on the Hongmeng kernel and native system apps.
By prioritizing system applications, Huawei wants to streamline the operating system and create “Harmony” in the ecosystem with improved performance, security and intelligence. The update also paves the way for a HarmonyOS-supported ecosystem.
