Apple is preparing to make radical changes with the iPhone 17 series. It has been suggested that the company will make changes to the design and software interface of the new models as well as the model naming. In this context, it is claimed that the current iPhone 17 Pro Max will be shelved and replaced by the “iPhone 17 Ultra” model.
iPhone 17 Pro Max may be canceled
The new naming, which is expected to be announced at an event that Apple will hold in September, indicates a significant change in the company’s brand strategy for its upper segment phones. However, the changes may not be limited to this. It is stated that the company will also end the “Plus” series and replace it with the “iPhone 17 Air” or “iPhone 17 Slim” model with a thinner design.

In previous years, Apple included hardware differences between its Pro and standard models, while devices in the same series were only distinguished in terms of size. However, it seems that more significant differences will be created between the models with the new strategy.
The iPhone 17 Ultra will offer significant differences not only with a name change, but also in technical terms. This model could feature a smaller Dynamic Island, a more advanced cooling system, and a larger battery.
Apple has previously changed the naming of some iPhone models. In recent weeks, the fourth-generation iPhone SE was renamed “iPhone 16e.” The launch event in September will show the company’s final decision on the matter. So what do you think about this?
