HMD, which has replaced Nokia and continues phone production aiming to expand its market share in the Android phone market, is reportedly working on a new model according to leaks. The new device, emerging as HMD Nighthawk, seems poised to surpass its competitors in the mid-range segment with its features. HMD Nighthawk may be powered by the Unisoc T760 5G processor

A user on X (formerly Twitter) who shares leaks about HMD has leaked a new device claimed to be introduced as Nighthawk. The features of the new phone, described as the latest version, include the octa-core Unisoc T760 5G processor with 4x Cortex-A76 performance and 4x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. This processor, which offers higher performance than the Snapdragon 765G according to AnTuTu scores, could make the HMD Nighthawk powerful for the mid-range segment.

This processor is expected to be accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage options. On the display side, we see a smooth 6.67-inch Full HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Running on the Android 14 operating system, HMD’s new phone could easily last a day with its 4,900 mAh battery.

Looking at the cameras, the HMD Nighthawk features a 108-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel, likely ultra-wide-angle lens capable of 4K 30fps video. On the front, it hosts a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Design-wise, the new device resembles previous models, potentially featuring a non-slip back cover and easy repairability in partnership with iFixit. The leaked images show the phone in green, suggesting other color options might be available.
