HMD has started updating its smartphone portfolio to Android 15. The first model to receive the update is the HMD Pulse Pro, a modest smartphone focused on easy repairability, released in April 2024. HMD Pulse Pro Gets the New Android 15 Update
According to reports, the new update comes with a full installation size of 3.12 GB. It also changes the software version to create V2.370.
The firmware update brings a security package that includes traditional performance and privacy improvements, as well as adaptive enhancements for battery and notification control, starting from December of this year.

The HMD Pulse Pro becomes the first in a series of devices confirmed to receive the latest version of Google’s operating system. The list includes both HMD and Nokia models. The devices that will receive the update are:
- Nokia G42 5G
- Nokia G60 5G
- Nokia XR21 5G
- Nokia X30 5G
- HMD Pulse series
- HMD Crest series
- HMD Fusion
- HMD Skyline
- HMD XR21 5G
- HMD T21
In addition to the HMD Pulse Pro, other devices from the Finnish manufacturer listed above are expected to be included in the update in the coming days and weeks. However, it is predicted that these devices will receive the update not in the last days of 2024 but in the beginning of 2025.
The affordable HMD Pulse Pro features a 6.65-inch HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, the Unisoc T606 platform, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage. The device also comes with a 13 MP main camera, a 2 MP depth camera, and a 50 MP front camera. Lastly, the phone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery.
