Honor and Google are signing a new partnership to bring AI-powered features to the masses in the mid-range smartphone segment. As part of the agreement announced at the Google Cloud Next 2025 event, Honor branded devices will start using Google’s cloud infrastructure and AI tools in an integrated manner.
Honor and Google collaborate in the field of AI
With this comprehensive partnership, advanced AI features that were previously only available in high-end models are now becoming more accessible. The Honor 400 Lite model will be the first device to directly integrate the new AI package.

This model is based on Google’s AI imaging engine known as Imagen. The feature called AI Outpainting can expand the frame of photos taken by users up to two times.
Another feature, AI Eraser, offers a natural look without distorting the background while erasing unwanted objects in photos. This process is also supported by Imagen technology. In addition, the function called AI Upscale increases the quality level of low-resolution photos, making them clearer and more detailed.
With this partnership with Google, Honor will be one of the first brands to bring AI functions to the mid-range, which has focused solely on high-end devices. The collaboration between Honor and Google is expected to expand to more devices in the future. So what do you think about this? You can easily share your views with us in the comments section below.
