Honor has announced that its new foldable phone, the Magic V Flip 2, will be unveiled on August 21st. The device’s full specifications have not yet been officially confirmed. However, official images and reliable leaks suggest significant changes compared to the first-generation Magic V Flip, released last year.
What will the Honor Magic V Flip 2 offer?
The Honor Magic V Flip 2 will retain the large outer screen concept of its predecessor. Furthermore, the camera setup, which previously featured mismatched lens sizes, will be replaced by a more balanced dual-camera setup with two equally sized modules.

According to official images, the Magic V Flip 2 will be available in four different color options: a jewel-designed blue gradient, purple, white, and gray/silver. The blue model appears to have been designed in collaboration with renowned designer Jimmy Choo. The device will be available in three configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB.
Reports suggest the Honor Magic V Flip 2 will be powered by either the Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 or 8 Gen 3 processor. The device will reportedly feature a 6.8-inch OLED LTPO foldable display with a 2520 x 1080 resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz, and high-frequency PWM dimming.
The device is expected to feature a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. This will be the largest battery seen among small foldable phones this year.
