The highly anticipated November vehicle data for the Turkish automotive market has finally been released. The report, published by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), shows that the sector is gaining strong momentum towards the end of the year. These new figures indicate significant growth in both the passenger car and light commercial vehicle markets compared to the previous year.
November vehicle sales data continues to rise
According to ODMD data, the Turkish automotive market broke new records. In November, the total market grew by 9.82 percent compared to the same period last year. This growth brought total sales to 132,984. Furthermore, when looking at the January-November period, the total market reached 1,176,780 units, representing a 10.16 percent increase year-over-year.

A closer look at sales reveals that the automobile market is more dominant. In November, passenger car sales alone increased by 10.78 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 104,795 units. The light commercial vehicle market saw a 6.38 percent increase, reaching 28,189 units. This data demonstrates the strong interest shown by consumers in year-end campaigns. Furthermore, a 10-year average reveals a 50.6 percent increase in the total market.
When consumer preferences are examined, SUVs continue to dominate. SUVs, accounting for 62.5 percent of the market, are the most preferred body type. Sedans follow with a 22.4 percent share. By engine type, gasoline-powered vehicles maintain their leadership with a 47.2 percent share. Hybrids accounted for 26.9 percent, while fully electric vehicles rose to 17.8 percent. Diesel-powered vehicles saw their share drop to 7.4 percent.
