Huawei, which continues its efforts to regain market share in the industry, is expected to introduce the Mate 70 series soon. While the smartphones are expected to be unveiled later this month, recent information sheds light on pricing details.
Huawei Mate 70 May Come with a Price Increase
According to a report shared by Fixed Focus Digital, the upcoming Huawei Mate 70 series may arrive with a price increase compared to its predecessor. The source explains that this price hike is due to the use of a stronger and more expensive Kirin chipset in the series. The increase is expected to be around 100-200 Yuan.
Considering that the Mate 60 was priced at 5,499 Yuan, the new series is expected to start at a price range of 5,599-5,699 Yuan. In terms of dollars, the price is estimated to be between 760 and 800 USD, though this conversion is not final.
Render images of the Huawei Mate 70 have surfaced on Weibo, revealing some significant design changes. The new model is said to have a camera layout similar to the Mate 50 released in 2022. Additionally, the phone will feature a display/body ratio that meets industry standards and a panel with three holes for the front camera.
Another change expected in the Mate 70 is the display, which will feature a flat panel instead of the curved edges seen in previous models. Sources suggest that the screen size will be 6.69 inches.
