How to find a lost iPhone (Even if it's turned off)

Ping Your iPhone With Your Apple Watch

If you have lost your iPhone and can’t find it, your Apple Watch can help. You can ping your phone through your watch. For this, follow these steps:

Swipe up from the bottom of your Apple Watch screen to open Control Center
Scroll down until you find the Ping iPhone button. It is the button with the icon of an iPhone with a couple of lines on each side.
Tap the Ping iPhone button once to make your device do a ping. Press and hold the same button to make your device ping and flash.

Ask for help from other Apple devices

Apple offers you several alternatives to find your iPhone. One of them is the Find My application, available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. With this application, you can see the last location of your phone. Here is what you need to do:

Open the Find My app on your other Apple device. It can be another iPhone, an iPad, or a Mac, but you need to make sure that device uses the same Apple ID as your lost iPhone.
Go to the Devices tab. If you’re using an iPhone or an iPad, it will be located near the bottom of your screen. If you are on a Mac, you should see it near the top of the Find My window.
Select the device you are trying to find.
Tap Directions.

Get help from your iCloud account

Even if you don’t have another Apple device, the company lets you log into iCloud from any computer. The iCloud you have access to allows you to do many things. One of them is to use the Find My application. Here is what you need to do to find your iPhone:

On a computer or smartphone, go to iCloud.com.
Log in to your Apple ID. Make sure it’s the same Apple ID you use on your lost phone.
Click Find iPhone. You may need to enter your Apple ID password again.
