You have to make sure that you’ve enabled location services in your iPhone’s Settings. Then, you can share your location via the Messages app, Contacts, and both Apple Maps and Google Maps.

Enable location services on your iPhone

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Click “Privacy” and then select “Location Services.“
3. Ensure Location Services is on by swiping the slider to the right and turning it green.

Send your location using Google Maps

1. Open Google Maps.
2. Click the blue dot that indicates your location (if you don’t see it on the screen, you can click the arrow in the lower right to put your position in the middle of the map).
