Apple has a great piece of the technology market with its devices including, iPhones, Macs, and Watches. The company launched new Apple Watch models along with the iPhone 14 series. Apple also released new software for its wearable devices. With watchOS 9.1, Apple Watch Ultra gets the Low Power mode. Here are the details about how to use Apple Watch Ultra for up to 60 hours.
Apple Watch Ultra Low Power mode
One of the new features that come with the watchOS 9.1 is the Low Power mode for Apple Watch Ultra. Thanks to the new feature, the device gets up to 60 hours of battery life while other new watches can have up to 36 hours of battery life such as the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 8.
When you enable the Low Power mode, your device will reduce the frequency of GPS and heart rate readings. Apple explains, “Preserves battery life in walking, running, and hiking workouts by reducing the frequency of GPS and heart rate readings, and turns off alerts, splits, and segments.”
Additionally, if you use this feature, Low Power mode will only be turned on when you start a walking, running, or hiking workout. Then, it will automatically turn off when you end. Besides, this feature doesn’t work with other types of workouts, and it doesn’t apply to Custom or Pacer workouts.
