One of the most anticipated features of iOS was call recording and transcribing. With iOS 18.1, this feature is introduced into Apple ecosystem. With iOS 18.1 developer beta, iPhone users can test the new perk.
How to record calls in iOS
In order to record the calls in iPhone you need to install the new iOS 18.1 developer beta. This feature works only on iPhones.
- Call the party you want to record, or engage in a group call.
- While the call is in progress, tap on the record button on the top-left corner.
- “This call will be recorded” message will be heard and everyone will be notified that a recording is in session.
After the conversation finishes, the recording of the call will be saved to the Notes app where you can access it. You’ll have the option to listen to the call again. You can even get a full transcript of the call or get a short summary of it.
