HTC has launched a new VR headset, which combines Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality. The brand announced the new Vive XR Elite headset with great features, including real-time overlays, a good display, and more. The new Mixed and Virtual Reality headset comes with a £1,299 price tag. Here are the details about the HTC Vive XR Elite headset.
XR Elite comes with 4K resolution
According to the announcements, the new XR Elite headset comes with a wide 110 FOV, 4K resolution, and 90Hz refresh rate. The VR headset features a full-color RGB camera for pass-through and hand-tracking. Thanks to this feature, users can now experience better VR interactivity between the device and the real world.
The XR Elite offers a wireless or connected to a PC usage for PCVR games from Viveport and Steam. HTC explains, “The VIVE XR Elite all-in-one represents the next milestone in the progression towards the fully immersive internet, going beyond today’s VR with accurate pass-through video to open up a new realm of realism in learning and playing.”
The brand also adds, “This advanced yet compact device offers the best of all worlds for consumers, providing the ideal physical gateway to the universe of experiences offered by Viverse, our version of the metaverse, with the widest variety of content inputs even up to the very latest standards such as WiFi 6E.”
While the device is now available for pre-order, it has a £1,299 price tag in the UK. The set comes with a headset, two controllers, and a battery cradle. When we compare the HTC Vive to the Meta Quest Pro, it is cheaper than Quest Pro.
