Huawei Brings the Aito M5, M8, and M9 Models with Their Technological Features
The Aito brand is a joint venture between Chinese brand Seres and Huawei. Seres handles the production of the vehicles, while Huawei acts as the “brain” of the vehicle. Huawei provides all the technological infrastructure, from HarmonyOS-powered infotainment systems to advanced driver assistance features, electric motors, and sensors.

Aito M5
The M5, the brand’s entry-level model, was one of the most eye-catching vehicles at the show. Measuring 4,785 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, this mid-size SUV boasts a simple and modern design. The 192-line LiDAR sensor on the roof reveals the vehicle’s technological infrastructure.
Interior highlights include the digital instrument cluster and large 15.6-inch touchscreen located behind the two-spoke steering wheel. Wireless charging pads and cup holders in the center console offer practicality.
The M5 is available with two different engine options. The all-electric (BEV) version has a single rear motor producing 200 kW (268 hp). Its 83 kWh CATL battery provides a range of 602 km according to China’s CLTC test cycle. The EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) model features a 1.5-liter gasoline generator used solely to charge the battery.
This model is available with rear-wheel drive (200 kW) and all-wheel drive (489 hp) with 365 kW (200 kW). It retails in China for between 229,800 and 249,800 RMB (approximately 27,500 – 29,890 Euros).
Aito M8
The M8 is the brand’s full-size SUV and has been the best-selling vehicle in its segment in China since its launch in April 2025. With a length of 5,190 mm and a generous 3,105 mm wheelbase, it is larger than the M5.

The interior design offers flexibility with five- or six-seat configurations. The cockpit features a three-screen configuration: a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch main display, and a 16-inch screen specifically designed for the front passenger. A 68-inch augmented reality-enabled head-up display (HUD) completes the vehicle’s technological equipment.
The EREV M8 features a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system producing 392 kW (526 hp), while the all-electric version is available with 227 kW (304 hp) rear-wheel drive or 387 kW (519 hp) all-wheel drive. Battery options range from 37 kWh to 100 kWh and offer a maximum CLTC range of 705 km. Prices in China range from 359,800 to 449,800 RMB (approximately 43,060 to 53,830 euros).
Aito M9
The flagship of the Aito series, the M9, combines luxury and comfort. With a length of 5,230 mm and a wheelbase of 3,110 mm, it is the largest in the family. Its exterior design is notable for its unique “glove”-shaped headlights and four LiDAR sensors used for driver assistance systems.

Like the M8, the M9 features a three-screen cockpit and a choice of five or six seats. The EREV model features a dual-motor system producing 365 kW (489 hp), with a 1.5-liter engine charging a 52 kWh battery. The all-electric M9, meanwhile, is a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive vehicle producing 390 kW (523 hp), and a 100 kWh battery. Its price in China ranges from 469,800 to 569,800 RMB (approximately 56,222 to 68,190 euros).
