Huawei is preparing to redesign the user experience with HarmonyOS Next, the next generation of its own operating system HarmonyOS. New details about the beta version of the operating system were shared. Some features are already a matter of curiosity.
Huawei will allow application cloning with HarmonyOS Next
Huawei shared new details about the beta version of the HarmonyOS Next operating system. One of the most striking features of the new software will be the ability to clone applications. So what will this feature do?
Starting October 8, the beta will initially be available for Mate 60 and X5 phones and MatePad Pro tablets. Huawei announced that HarmonyOS Next will allow you to create five copies of a single app. With this feature, the same app can be run independently of each other.
For example, a user will be able to keep 5 copies of social media or messaging apps open at the same time without having to switch between accounts to communicate with different people or groups. Unnecessary cloned apps can also be deleted from the home screen.
The cloning feature will be useful for multitasking or separating work/personal use of apps on a single device. The latest HarmonyOS Next beta also includes updates such as improved screen sharing and remote assistance.
HarmonyOS has been emphasizing a single operating system for smartphones and computers since its first release. HarmonyOS PC, which has so far appeared with designs and demos, will be officially introduced for the first time in this sense.
