Huawei Mate X3 has a thickness of 5.3mm
The Chinese phone manufacturer launched a new foldable device with Innovative materials and an ultra-light body. While the device weighs 239 grams, it has a thickness of 5.3mm when it’s unfolded. These rates make the Huawei Mate X3 the thinnest and lightest foldable phone in the market. Additionally, it comes with other significant specifications on the display side.
The new foldable device has a 6.4-inch outer screen with 2504×1080 resolution, and a 7.85-inch inner screen with 2496×2224 resolution pixels. Both screens have flexible OLED panels with a 120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate and 1440Hz PWM. In terms of camera, it has a 50-megapixel main, 13-megapixel ultra-wide, and 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera on the back. Also, it features an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
Huawei’s thinnest foldable phone is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which has 1x 3.0 GHz ARM Cortex-X2 (Kryo), 3x 2.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, and 4x 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, and the chipset has the Adreno 730 GPU. In addition, it comes with 8GB and 12GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of storage options.
While the Huawei Mate X3 runs HarmonyOS 3.1 out of the box, it has a 4,800mAh battery with 66W charging support. The new foldable phone will be on sale in China at $1.900 and $2.500, respectively. It is not clear yet whether the phone will be available globally.
