Huawei is preparing to shift the dynamics of the technology world. It has been confirmed that the company will showcase its new Pura series at a launch event on April 20. The model that stands out most in this series is the new foldable phone referred to as the Pura X Max. According to information shared by the famous leaker Digital Chat Station, Huawei will bring a design philosophy to consumers that Apple has yet to release.
Huawei Pura X Max Design and Display Features
Unlike conventional foldable phones, the Pura X Max will feature a horizontal and wide form factor. Seen as a rival to the foldable iPhone models Apple plans to introduce in the future, this device boasts a 7.69-inch WQHD+ resolution internal display. On the outside, there is a 5.5-inch secondary screen designed to help users easily handle daily tasks. Huawei opted for a 16:10 aspect ratio to offer users a much more comfortable tablet-like experience.
On the hardware side, the device is expected to be powered by Huawei’s next-generation Kirin 9030 processor. This chipset, also planned for use in the Pura 90 series, appears highly ambitious regarding performance and energy efficiency thanks to its improved 9-core architecture. For the camera, the brand will feature a quad-camera setup called Red Maple. At the center of this system lies a much more advanced telephoto lens. Leaks indicate that the device is designed for both professional photography and users seeking high performance.

The wide foldable phone market will not be limited to Huawei in the future. While Apple is expected to debut a similar model in September, rumors suggest Samsung is also working on a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. However, with this April release, Huawei will gain a significant first-mover advantage over its rivals.
