Huawei Pura X View Faces Massive Demand in China

The newly launched Huawei Pura X View has experienced an unprecedented surge in popularity within the Chinese market, selling 449,800 units within its first month of availability as of the 39th week of 2026. This high consumer interest, recently highlighted by data from digital content creator @RDObservation, reflects a strong market appetite for the device’s innovative, expanded screen architecture. Despite its commercial success, many potential buyers are currently encountering significant difficulties in securing the smartphone due to extremely limited stock levels and high demand. As Huawei works to fulfill these orders, the Pura X View has quickly become one of the most sought-after mobile devices of the year.
- The Huawei Pura X View reached a sales volume of nearly 450,000 units within its first month on the Chinese market.
- The device features a unique 6.39-inch OLED display with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio and ultra-thin 1.05 mm bezels.
- The hardware is powered by the Kirin 9030S chipset and includes a robust 7,000 mAh battery with dual charging capabilities.
- High demand has caused some third-party retailers to inflate official pricing by up to 1,000 yuan.
Design Innovations Redefine the User Experience
The Pura X View distinguishes itself from traditional mobile handsets through its unconventional 6.39-inch flat OLED display. With a unique 16:9.5 aspect ratio and a 2232×1320 resolution, the device provides a wider viewing area that deviates from standard industry norms. The screen-to-body ratio stands at an impressive 96.1 percent, supported by symmetrical 1.05 mm bezels on all sides.
Visual performance is further enhanced by a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology. The display is capable of reaching a remarkable local peak brightness of 6,500 nits, ensuring clarity even under direct sunlight. To maintain structural integrity, Huawei has integrated its proprietary Kunlun glass technology, offering superior scratch and impact resistance.
Hardware Specifications Provide High Performance
Under the hood, the device is driven by the advanced Kirin 9030S chipset, ensuring efficient processing power for demanding tasks. Thermal management is handled by a substantial 6,400 mm² vapor chamber, which prevents overheating during extended use. Users can choose from 12 GB of RAM, with storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB.
The camera system is equally sophisticated, featuring a 200 MP RYYB main sensor that benefits from optical image stabilization (OIS). Complementing this are a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with an 88 mm equivalent focal length and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. For front-facing photography, the phone utilizes a 40 MP selfie camera. The entire system is powered by a high-capacity 7,000 mAh silicon anode battery, supporting 66 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.
Availability Challenges Persist for Consumers
The handset is currently retailing at prices starting from 5,999 yuan for the base model, climbing to 8,499 yuan for the 1 TB version. Due to the intense demand, some third-party sellers are charging premiums between 500 and 1,000 yuan above the official list price. While the Midnight Black model is currently out of stock, customers can opt for Shadow Red, Linen Gray, or Zero White versions. Huawei estimates that new official orders will be fulfilled by mid-November, highlighting the production strain caused by the device’s market reception.
