Luxury sedan brand from Huawei and JAC: Maextro
Huawei has announced Maextro, a new luxury sedan brand, joining forces with JAC to increase its ambition in the automotive sector. The brand’s first model will be a large sedan car targeting high-end customers.
Called Maextro, it will enter mass production at JAC’s factory in China later this year. Trials are already underway to test the sedan before its launch in the first half of 2025.
According to leaked documents, JAC aims to produce 35 thousand Maextro sedans annually. The price of the vehicle will be around 140 thousand dollars. In this context, it is expected to compete with premium European brands such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
Leaked photos show that the sedan has a modern design with a long wheelbase and frameless doors. LiDAR sensors and Huawei’s smart driving technologies also stand out. Engine specifications have not yet been announced. However, it may include hybrid and gasoline options.
Huawei Smart Mobility President Richard Yu claimed that the Maextro sedan will exceed the luxury of brands such as Maybach and Rolls-Royce. This ambitious debut makes the Maextro the best of Huawei’s automotive joint ventures.
