Huawei Watch Ultimate smartwatch, Huawei Mate X3, and Huawei P60 series smartphone models all come with satellite support. Huawei P60 family and Mate X3 phone model with horizontal foldable structure will be officially launched on March 23. As it was revealed today, also the Huawei Watch Ultimate smartwatch model will be launched on March 23. This smartwatch will have satellite connection support like other devices. There may also be a Watch 4 lineup at the event.

Huawei Watch Ultimate, P60 series and Mate X3 will support satellite connectivity

This feature, which was first used in the Huawei Mate 50 lineup, will allow people to send emergency messages via satellite in places where phones do not work normally. Thus, it will help save many lives. Among the new devices, the Huawei P60 Pro makes the most noise. The high-end flagship P60 Pro uses a powerful periscope camera, which is based on RYYB.

Combining the Quad Bayer filter with the RYYB (red, yellow, yellow, blue) pixel structure, Huawei offers very good photos in low light thanks to this infrastructure that it has used before. This means that the company will combine high zoom (3.6x optical) with high low light power in the P60 Pro. This is an important detail because the setup and aperture values of periscope cameras usually fall behind wide-angle cameras in low light.

The phone, which is expected to have at least four cameras on the back, will most likely offer a variable aperture between f/1.4 and f/4. It will also use Sony’s 50-megapixel IMX888 sensor in the main camera and Sony’s 50-megapixel IMX858 sensor in the ultra-wide angle camera. Huawei P60 Pro is claimed to be built on a 6.6-inch 1440×3200 pixel 120 Hz OLED display prepared by BOE.

Huawei P60 Pro may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 4G processor due to the embargo. The use of the processor is not yet certain. It may also carry a 5,000 mAh battery with 88W or 100W fast charging support. What are your thoughts about satellite support connectivity? You can share with us in the comment section below…
