Apple’s upcoming model, expected to be the latest addition to the iPhone SE series, has been the subject of fresh leaks. According to reports, the device will offer significant upgrades over previous SE models, so much so that it might overshadow the success of the iPhone 16. Here are the details…
iPhone SE 4 Will Resemble the iPhone 14
The new model is rumored to look very similar to the iPhone 14. Key features include a 6.06-inch FHD+ LTPS OLED display, Face ID support, and a metal frame. However, the display will be limited to a 60Hz refresh rate, which might feel outdated by modern standards.
Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 (or iPhone 16E) is expected to be powered by Apple’s latest A18 chip, giving it a performance edge over competitors. The device will also reportedly have water resistance certification. The starting price is rumored to be $499, making it the most affordable iPhone in the lineup.
Despite its high-performance chip and optimized iOS experience, the phone’s 60Hz refresh rate and single rear camera might be seen as drawbacks compared to rivals like the Pixel 8a and Galaxy A55. However, Apple’s hardware-software integration and the smoothness of iOS may compensate for these perceived shortcomings, ensuring a seamless user experience.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be unveiled in April 2025. With its competitive price-performance balance, it could even rival the iPhone 16 series.
