WhatsApp is introducing a self-deleting voice message feature!
WhatsApp, the messaging platform we use every day, has been working on many features to provide users with more privacy. One of these features is the newly introduced self-destructing voice message feature.
Finally, the platform that brought support for unencrypted transitions for Android devices has rolled up its sleeves for a different feature this time. According to a share by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started testing the self-destructing voice message feature for beta users.
This feature is similar to the system of photos and videos that have the “View Once” option. The only difference is that after sending the voice message, it self-destructs. This allows users to share their voice messages more comfortably.
As seen in the shared screenshot, while recording a voice message, the “View Once” icon appears in the chat bar. When you touch this icon, the voice note will be in the view once mode. This way, the message will not be exported outside.
The new feature is currently being tested with beta users. However, there is no information on when it will be released for the general user base. This indicates that WhatsApp will begin offering it to users based on the feedback from beta users.
