Instagram is being redesigned
The Instagram navigation bar may soon get a cleaner look. The popular social media platform is testing a new design aimed at simplifying the interface.
What does the new Instagram navigation bar look like?
The “+” button, which is currently located in the center of the current design and allows content creation, is being moved to the top right corner in the new version being tested. Furthermore, the Reels button is being placed in the vacated center position.
The main goal of this change appears to be to simplify the interface and prioritize video-focused content. By moving the Reels tab to the center, Instagram once again demonstrates how important video content is to compete with TikTok.
However, Instagram is currently testing this new interface with a limited number of users. Therefore, it’s not yet clear when the change will be available to all users. The company will decide on a general rollout based on the feedback it receives from the test results.
