Instagram, one of the most popular social media platforms with billions of users worldwide, continues to receive new features year after year. It has recently come to light that Meta, the parent company of Instagram, is working on a feature to remove unwanted objects from photos.
Unwanted Object Removal Feature is Coming to Instagram!
When taking a photo to share on social media, unwanted objects that appear in the photo can be annoying. These objects can be a person, an item, or any general object. Instagram’s new feature aims to provide a solution to this problem.
Alessandro Paluzzi, who creates content related to social media, discovered a new AI-powered tool in the Stories section of Instagram. According to the information shared by Paluzzi, this tool will make it possible to remove unwanted objects from photos.
Upon careful examination of the screenshot shared by Paluzzi in the Stories section, detailed information about this AI tool can’t be seen yet. It is unknown how it works, whether it produces successful results, and most importantly, when it will be available for use. However, speculations point to the coming weeks.
Meta also aims to eliminate the need for third-party applications with this feature. Currently, many users rely on applications published by various developers in app stores to remove unwanted objects. However, it is unknown how safe these applications are according to Meta.
In addition, Instagram is testing the Live Events feature for iOS users. Users will be able to easily track background uploads through the Lock Screen, even if they have closed the application. Although it is currently in the beta phase, it is expected to be available to everyone soon.
