At the 2025 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Intel announced that it has improved network efficiency in server-focused Xeon processors. The company, which emphasized that artificial intelligence acceleration and sustainability have increased with the statements made, announced that it has transformed telecommunications operations. Here are the details.
Intel Xeon 6 processor will be used by many telecommunications companies
According to Intel, the SoC architecture used in Xeon 6 offers up to 2.4 times more radio access network (RAN) capacity and 70 percent better performance per watt compared to previous models. In this way, companies using the processor will be able to reduce costs with fewer servers.

With integrated AI acceleration, AI RAN performance also increases up to 3.2 times compared to previous generations. In addition, thanks to the cooperation with 5G basic solution partnerships for the new processor, the adoption of Xeon 6 processors is accelerating.
According to the information shared, leading telecom operators and phone manufacturers, especially in America, are preparing to use this technology. Brands such as Vodafone, AT&T, Samsung, Verizon, Ericsson, Rakuten Mobile, Reliance Jio, SK Telecom, and Telus have also decided to transform their network infrastructure with Xeon 6.
Samsung’s next-generation Cloud Native Core technology, expected to be introduced in the second quarter of this year, will be equipped with Intel Xeon 6 processors with E-cores to offer 3.2 times better performance than the previous generation.
In addition to the performance it offers, the new Xeon 6 aims to provide a very solid connection with eight integrated Ethernet ports and a total throughput of up to 200 gigabits per second.
