The Arc B580, one of Intel’s next-generation Arc Battlemage graphics cards, has begun to show a significant performance boost with the latest driver updates. These updates, which significantly reduce CPU load, have made the Arc B580, previously criticized for its CPU bottleneck, significantly more efficient and now challenge its competitors.
At 12,000 TL, the Arc B580 stood out as one of the most attractive budget-friendly GPUs on the market. However, the main reason many gamers avoided purchasing this card was the performance hits associated with high CPU load. Even when paired with processors still considered powerful, such as AMD’s Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 series processors, the Arc B580’s performance remained lower than expected. This situation has been a source of frustration for gamers.
Intel Arc B580 Shows Performance Improvement with Driver Updates
Intel, however, has acknowledged this issue and quickly focused on driver updates. Updates released in recent months have significantly reduced CPU load, significantly improving performance in many games. New tests conducted by Hardware Unboxed, in particular, have demonstrated the tangible results of these improvements.

For example, in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, the Arc B580 previously suffered a significant performance loss compared to the AMD RX 9060 XT 8GB graphics card. With Intel Driver 7028, it now performs on par with the RX 9060 XT. The new drivers provide over a 30% performance increase compared to the 6000-series drivers.

Similarly, significant improvements were also noted in the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty tests. Specifically, in tests with the Ryzen 5 2600, the Arc B580 showed no lag compared to the RX 9060 XT, delivering surprisingly competitive performance.

The performance gains weren’t limited to these games. Games like Dying Light: The Beast, Marvel Rivals, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and Borderlands 4 have also seen significant improvements with the Ryzen 5 5600 processor. While older processors like the Ryzen 5 2600 still experience significant CPU load issues, this issue is no longer prevalent with Zen 3-based processors.
Thanks to Intel’s regular driver updates, the Arc B580 is no longer a graphics card plagued by driver issues. Its affordable price of around 12,000 TL, 12GB of VRAM, and competitive performance in modern games make it a strong alternative for budget-conscious gamers.
In short, the Arc B580 is now a compelling graphics card not only on paper but also in real-world gaming performance. Intel’s driver improvements unleash the card’s potential, providing gamers with a much more satisfying experience.
