Intel’s New Lunar Lake Series Mobile Processors to Launch on September 3rd
The Intel Core Ultra 5 228V processor features an 8-core CPU running at 4.5GHz (actual speed 4485 MHz). It also comes with 32GB of RAM. In the Geekbench single-core test, it scored 2585 points, and in the multi-core test, it scored 10053 points.
Despite being part of the 17W series, this single-core performance surpasses that of the 54W Core Ultra 9 185H (Meteor Lake) model. The Core Ultra 5 228V is positioned as the second-lowest model in the new series. Another similar model, the Core Ultra 5 226V, comes with 16GB of RAM.
The main difference between the Intel Core Ultra 9 and Ultra 7 lies in TDP and CPU frequency. The Core Ultra 9 comes with a 30W PL1 TDP, while the Ultra 7 model uses a 17W PL1 TDP. The difference between the Ultra 7 and Ultra 5 is in the integrated graphics unit; the Ultra 5 has 7 Xe2 cores, while the Ultra 7 model has 8 cores.
