Intel’s silence in the desktop graphics card market had fuelled rumours that the company was pulling out of this segment. However, new leaked shipment documents revealed that Intel is working on new Battlemage architecture GPU models.
Intel may come up with Battlemage architecture graphics cards
The first model in the documents is codenamed ‘BMG-G31’. This chip draws attention with its Xe2 core structure ranging from 24 to 32. Equipped with a 256-bit memory bus and 16 GB GDDR6 memory capacity, the device gives the impression that it may be a high-end graphics card.

Another model, ‘BMG-C32’, refers to both Battlemage and next generation Celestial architectures in terms of code structure. However, current assessments suggest that this model is a reconfigured variant of the BMG-G31.
The Arc B580 and B570 models released last year met expectations despite reaching a limited number of users. There is no clear information about when the new BMG-G31 and BMG-C32 models will reach the end user. However, the continuation of the shipment and testing process showed that the company has not stopped its work in this field and that new products are in preparation.
Whether Intel will regain a competitive position in both the performance segment and the workload-oriented GPU field with the Battlemage series will become clear with the official announcements to be made in the coming period.
