Apple released iOS 16.1 beta 2 to developers on Tuesday. The company announced iOS 16 with many new and significant features just after the launch of the iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8, and AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. With the new beta, the update gets some missing features and fixes bugs like “Copy and Paste.” Here are the details about iOS 16.1 Beta 2.
iOS 16.1 beta 2 coming with new features
Beta 2 brings four significant updates to the iPhones. The latest update had some bugs, and with that beta update, developers can now test the software to check the fixes. iOS 16 launched with significant and expected features like Messages, SharePlay, and Lock Screen customization.
Copy and Paste permission
People couldn’t paste from the clipboard to the apps because of needing permission. Apple introduced new permission to copy and paste between apps. This feature lets users know whether apps try to paste from the clipboard. However, the warning was repeated even though users allowed the app to access the clipboard. With the latest update, Apple figured this problem out.
Three-finger gesture bug
iPhone owners face another bug that is related to three-finger gestures. When users updated their phones to iOS 16, they had a problem with the three-finger gesture. The bug doesn’t allow users to open the copy and paste menu on some apps and games. Apple also fixed this bug with the iOS 16.1 Beta 2.
Charging indicator on the Lock Screen
The tech giant has removed the larger charging indicator from the Lock Screen with the first beta version of iOS 16. However, the brand brings the indicator back to the phones with iOS 16.1 Beta 2. When you plug your iPhone into the charger, you will see an indicator that shows the battery percentage. You can reach more details about iOS 16 here.
