Apple has released a new operating system update for iPhone and iPad. After a beta program, iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6, tvOS 16.6, watchOS 9.6 and macOS 13.5 are finally available. We have all the details about these updates, which include a number of new features and bug fixes.
How to download iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6?
Apple’s new versions are numbered 20G75 and replace the previous iOS 16.5 (20G5070a). Updates will be installed automatically within a day or two, although this varies by region. If you want to install them sooner, you can do it manually by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
Apple focuses interim releases on performance improvements and bug fixes rather than major new features. We expect the new iOS and iPadOS 17 to be unveiled at an event in September.
Within the scope of the new update, it was stated that two critical bugs in the Home and Xcode application were resolved. In addition, 16 vulnerabilities in the Apple Neural Engine, Find My app and the chip core have been fixed. It should be noted that iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 do not bring any new features.
