Apple has released iOS 18.2 Beta 4 for developers as of now. With the new update, Apple has introduced the second wave of Apple Intelligence features. While the update is currently only available for download from Apple’s developer website, it will soon be available as an over-the-air (OTA) update. So, what does the new update include?
Apple’s new update is available to developers with iOS 18.2 Beta 4
The new version comes with new camera features. Visual Intelligence, which allows you to learn more about objects in the environment with camera controls on iPhone 16 models, is now available for developers to test. Image Wand can also turn rough sketches into “delightful visuals” in the Notes app.
The update also includes a number of minor improvements and bug fixes. For example, changes to the Camera and Photos apps are said to make them smoother to use. Here are other Apple Intelligence features:
Image Playground: It offers the opportunity to create fun visuals in the style of animation or illustration in a short time by typing text.
Genmoji: Allows you to create your own custom emojis based on written recipes (prompts).
Siri integration with ChatGPT: When interacting with Siri, you can now access OpenAI’s popular artificial intelligence ChatGPT.
Writing Tools: There is a new “Write” button to create text on topics of your choice and new options to describe your changes.
Who can benefit from Apple Intelligence?
While iOS 18.2 is rolling out to all iOS 18-powered devices, Apple Intelligence features are limited to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16. This may be restrictive for some users, but it’s clear that Apple wants to fully support its hardware advantages with new software features.
When will the final version be released?
The final version of iOS 18.2 is expected to be released in December 2024. In the meantime, Apple is testing improvements and focusing on delivering the best experience for users. Those who try the developer beta will be able to contribute to this process by sharing their first impressions with Apple.
