Apple is preparing to introduce the iOS 18.4 update to users at the beginning of April. The new update, which will follow iOS 18.3 released in January, has reached the final stages of the beta testing process. The update is expected to be released on April 7 or by April 14 at the latest.
iOS 18.4 update will be showcased soon
One of the most striking innovations brought by the update will be the Priority Notifications feature. This feature will highlight the most important messages and notifications in a special section on the lock screen thanks to the AI-supported system.

Another innovation related to Apple Intelligence will be the expansion of language support. The AI-supported system will also start supporting French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages with iOS 18.4. This expansion will allow AI features previously used only in certain languages to reach a wider user base.
An important innovation will also be offered for iPhone 15 Pro users. The Visual Intelligence feature was initially only available on the iPhone 16 series, but will also be available on iPhone 15 Pro models with iOS 18.4. Previously only available on iPhones with the Camera Control button, this feature can now be activated via the Action Button.
Apple will also add the Ambient Music toggle to Control Center with iOS 18.4. Users will be able to choose from four different sound categories: Sleep, Relaxation, Productivity, and Health. Depending on the category selected, a random sound or music track appropriate to the relevant theme will be played.
On the App Store side, there will be some small but functional changes that will improve the user experience. Users will be able to pause the app download process from the update list. This feature will provide more control when downloading large apps, especially in areas with low signal strength and while using cellular data.
New emoji characters will also be available with the update. Seven new emojis will be added to the keyboard with iOS 18.4, including bags under the eyes, fingerprint, leafless tree, root vegetable, harp, shovel, and splash.
iOS 18.4 is currently in its fourth beta and is expected to be released as a final version after several beta updates. What do you think about it? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
