Apple has released iOS 26.2 for iPhone users worldwide. This update brings Liquid Glass design touches that change the visual structure of the operating system and new customization options for CarPlay.
iOS 26.2 Released
A new transparency slider has been added for the clock fonts on the lock screen, allowing users to more precisely control the screen view. The spirit level design in the Measurement app has also been completely revamped with this new visual language, making the numbers more readable. On the CarPlay side, an option to disable pinned chats in messages has been added to the settings.

Significant technical innovations are noticeable in entertainment and media services. Apple Music users can now view the lyrics of downloaded songs even without an internet connection. Additionally, the favorite tracks list is now located in the Featured section on the main tab.
The Podcasts app automatically divides episodes into parts using AI support and provides direct links to other podcast channels mentioned in the broadcast.
For gamers, the Game app now includes category and size-based filtering options, live score notifications to increase competition, and improved support packages for popular game controllers.
In the security and productivity sections, AirDrop and Reminders stand out. AirDrop sharing with contacts not in your address book now requires the sender to enter a verification code that appears on the recipient’s device.
On the Reminders side, an alarm feature for urgent tasks breaks through focus modes to attract the user’s attention and offers sleep or live activity support. Multiple accessory packages sold through the Home app can be included in the system with a single setup code, while smart spreadsheets added to the Freeform app store text, images, and documents in automatically resizing cells.
Users in the United States receive rich map-based notifications for events such as floods and natural disasters, while the live translation feature for AirPods in European Union countries was activated in December.
The update also fixes chronic system errors. Issues such as pre-ordered albums in the Apple Music library not playing immediately upon release and some privacy settings mistakenly appearing under corporate management have been resolved in this release.
In sleep tracking data, the highest category was changed from “Excellent” to “Very High” based on user feedback, and new threshold values were uploaded to the system accordingly.
On the iPadOS side, the ability to switch to multi-window mode by dragging apps from the Dock has been reintroduced. Due to legal regulations in Japan, users can now assign the side button function to different voice assistants instead of Siri.
