Immediately following the iPhone 17 launch, Apple released iOS 26 RC (Release Candidate) for developers and beta users. This release, which follows months of beta testing, is considered the final step before the widespread launch. The RC, or “release candidate,” is considered the final version of the software and is generally the same as the version that will be released to the general public.
iOS 26 RC Released
Apple plans to release iOS 26 to the general public next week. By installing the RC version, beta users access the most stable and feature-complete version of the new operating system. However, it is also known that Apple may release a second RC version if it discovers a critical bug before the general launch. In such a case, the second RC version could reach testers within a few days.

iOS 26 will be available to users on September 15th. This new operating system introduces a completely revamped translucent interface design called “Liquid Glass,” artificial intelligence features like Apple Intelligence, and innovations such as CarPlay Ultra. Other major improvements expected include new features coming to apps like Phone and Messages, photo editing capabilities, and a smarter Siri.
For non-beta users who want to experience the new version early, iOS 26 RC remains the best option. However, experts recommend that mainstream users wait until the official launch for the best experience.
