Apple has released an updated beta build to fix a serious battery bug detected in the first version of the iOS 26 Developer Beta. The first version, which was introduced on June 9, the opening day of WWDC 2025, was available for download in a short time. However, due to a critical problem experienced especially in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series models, Apple re-released the same beta with a fix.
Apple has re-released the iOS 26 developer version!
The bug in the first version could cause the device to not turn on, with a low battery icon appearing in the upper right corner of the screen, even if the battery level of the phone was sufficient. This bug is considered serious enough to prevent some iPhones from working systematically.

According to the information shared by Apple, this situation only affects the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models. Models between the iPhone 11 and iPhone 14 series are not affected by this problem. Devices older than the iPhone 11 are excluded from the scope because they do not support iOS 26.
The Revised iOS 26 Developer Beta 1 was prepared to prevent the bug from rendering devices unusable. Since Apple’s paid developer program is no longer mandatory, users with a compatible iPhone model can also download and install this beta. However, it should be noted that this beta version is still in the development phase and may contain some issues.
The most obvious innovation with iOS 26 Developer Beta 1 is the new interface design that Apple calls “Liquid Glass”. Created with real-time light refraction and semi-transparent details, this design gives the operating system a more modern and vibrant look.
Apple will release the first public beta version of iOS 26 in July. The stable final version will be released in September with the iPhone 17 series. One of the models to be included in this series will be the iPhone 17 Air. This model, which has an ultra-thin design, will replace the device that was previously expected to be called the “iPhone 17 Plus”.
Users who want to install the new developer beta can follow the path Settings > General > Software Update and select the “iOS 26 Developer Beta” option in the “Beta Updates” section. Users who use iPhone 15 or 16 models and installed the previous faulty beta can switch to the new, corrected beta from the same section. It is recommended to make a backup before installing.
