Apple released the Public Beta of iOS 26 on July 24th. However, the update did not initially reach the iPhone 11, which is among the supported models. While betas were being distributed for other models, the iPhone 11 was kept separate. Apple later released a Public Beta update for iOS 26 exclusively for the iPhone 11. This different approach was due to a software bug in the folder structure on the Home Screen.
A Public Beta version specific to the iPhone 11 has arrived
The build number of the released iOS 26 beta differs from that of other models. The build for the iPhone 11 was numbered “23A5297n,” while the build released for other devices was recorded as “23A5297m.” This difference indicated that issues specific to the iPhone 11 had been addressed.

The bug detected on the device caused the folder structure on the Home Screen to become corrupted. When iPhone 11 users organized apps into folders, they could only see the icons in the far left column, while apps in the middle and right columns were not visible on the screen.
This issue completely prevented users from accessing these apps. Apple announced that this display issue has been resolved with the update.
The iOS 26 beta is currently only available to developers and public beta testers. It’s been reported that various system bugs may be discovered during the beta period. The stable version of iOS 26 will be released to all users along with the iPhone 17 series, which will be introduced in September.
