iPhone 15 Pro Max might have a brighter display

Information for the iPhone 15 series, which will consist of four models, continues to come. The series is expected to be launched in September 2023. The lineup will consist of four different phones with the names iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. The high-end members of the series are currently built on very bright displays.

The top brightness can be increased up to 2,500 nits on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

Samsung Display’s “Super Retina XDR” displays can reach 1,000 nits normally, 1,600 nits in HDR content, and 2,000 nits outdoors. According to a source, with the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, the top brightness can be increased up to 2,500 nits. This is because Samsung’s next OLED panel will also be able to reach this level, and it is 99 percent likely to be used by Apple in the new iPhones. Such high brightness is important not only for the impressive HDR experience, but also because it significantly improves outdoor daylight use, and is already pleasing those waiting for the new devices.

A new patent that the company has received for future iPhones is also on the agenda. The patent, which was obtained by Patently Apple, focuses on Face ID and Touch ID under the screen. Apple is expected to take the first step in this regard next year. It is claimed that the company will put the sensors required for Face ID under the screen in 2024. Unfortunately, under-screen Touch ID is not among the plans for the near future.

According to some rumors, the iPhone 15 series will have a flat-screen like the iPhone 14s, but will have curved edges similar to the iPhone X. Apple seems to go back to the past on this issue. The company will allegedly significantly thin the frames on the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Unlike the 15 and 15 Plus, the high-end models will be built on bodies made of titanium. It is also said to create an Apple Watch-like appearance with thinner frames and rounded sides. In this way, the phones will be slightly lighter but more resistant to shocks.
