The iPhone 15 series became available for purchase around the world, including Turkey, as of September 22. This led to long queues in front of Apple Stores, just like every year. The latest information from China shows that Apple has broken a record in iPhone 15 sales.
iPhone 15 series sold out in China in two hours
According to data from JD.com, one of China’s largest e-commerce companies, the iPhone 15 series set a sales record, outselling last year’s iPhone family. The e-commerce app, which has more than 4,000 Apple resellers, saw stocks sell out in the first two hours.
Data from China showed that sales in the first two hours were up around 250 percent compared to the launch day of the iPhone 14. This suggests that the iPhone 15 models with a titanium finish, Action button and better cameras are popular.
The report also revealed that orders from China’s smaller cities increased by 600 percent. This shows that the iPhone is spreading beyond metropolitan areas and gaining popularity among consumers across China.
Although Apple is a popular brand in the Chinese market, tensions with the US in recent years have made users nervous. In addition, Huawei’s high-end devices, such as the Mate 60 series, could have dampened expectations for the iPhone 15.
The fact that the sales record was broken in the first two hours in China indicates that similar news may come from other countries. It should be noted that there is an intense demand for the iPhone 15 series in our country.
